Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the sea has been pretty much free of any clouds in the past 24 hours. The extreme cape has had had a few whispys passing over though. It looks like that will continue today as well.
Looking now south to the Mexican Riviera where the coast is clear all the way south to Central America where there is considerable thunderbumper activity both inland and off shore.
Looking out at the ITCZ/Monsoon trough along about 8N this morning I can see a low embedded in the zone. In a couple of months we will be watching these lows for tropical development but right now they are just rain producers along the zone.
Looking back to Mexico I can see that the Tehuantepec will continue to have moderate SW winds over the 3-day forecast period. So the crossing window is still open.
Looking now over to the west coast of the Baja peninsula where fog lays along the coast from about Mag Bay north to central California. This image is showing the fog extending inland over most of the peninsula this morning. Checking the webcams at La Paz and the east cape and they were showing a few clouds in the area but no fog.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where the Great Northwest will see a day of partial sunshine today before the next system comes in tomorrow and will be bringing more rain and high elevation snow to the Great Northwest.
This system was forecast to just barely brush northern California however right now it looks like the system will be bringing rain to the Bay Area and Sacramento Thursday. It will exit to the east by Thursday night.
Southern California is in May Grey mode. Rather thick fog is extending inland to the coastal mountains this morning and will be slow to retreat to the coast. Afternoon sun is rather iffy today.
Looking now over to the southwest where Temperatures will continue to be in the mid 90s all week. Right now it does not look like the southwest will see those 100 degree Temperatures that were originally forecast for next weekend. Mid 90s it looks like now. Lots of sunshine in store for the southwest this week however breezy to locally windy conditions will occur east of Tucson this afternoon.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence we can expect another day pretty much like yesterday.
The northern sea to around San Franciscito bay will have moderate southerlies over the 3-day forecast period.
Santa Rosalia north to Puerto Escondido moderate NE winds. Puerto Escondido will probably see light SE winds this afternoon. Taking a long range looks for the weekend’s festivities at Puerto Escondido right now it look like brisk southerlies on tap right now. We’ll see?
The southern sea will see light to moderate winds with a western component over the next 3 days.
Temperatures will be up another couple of degrees today and most of the sea will be in the mid to high 80s.

73s Y’all
