Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning, actually looking first over to Sonora where there has been a steady line of thunderbumper moving up through Sonora with just a few jumping the Fence around the Tucson area.
Looking now at the Sea where the 24 hour loop is showing that there has been some debris clouds drifting out into the Sea from these Sonoran storms throughout the early morning hours
Looking now at the southern end of the Sea where it does not look like there are any clouds in the area.
Looking over to the Mexican Riviera where around Puerto Vallarta they have had a lot of thunderbumpers moving out of the mountain and moving toward the coast during the night. This morning there was a thumper that built over Puerto Vallarta and quickly moved off shore where it is now.
The rest of the coast south does not have any thunderbumper activity however it is mostly overcast with remnant clouds from thunderbumpers over central Mexico.
Looking now at the Tehuantepec where there has been several large thumpers move from Guatemala across the Gulf into southern Mexico. The winds in the Gulf are forecast to be in the ballpark 25 knot ranges for at least the next 3 days.
The ITCZ/Monsoon trough is relatively quiet this morning with the exception of the eastern portion around Costa Rica. This is also about where that tropical wave is forecast to move into the Eastern Pacific basin probably tomorrow. Several of the models are showing a low developing in that region so it looks like conditions are ripe for some cyclonic development in the next week. We’ll see?
Otherwise there is northern cooking on our Tropical Kitchen this morning.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where a rather weak low have moved out of the Gulf of Alaska and is moving into the Great Northwest bringing light showers to both Portland and Seattle this morning.
The rest of the west coast will be seeing seasonally warm temperatures today.
In southern California the highs today will be slightly above the seasonal norms for today. Today a low will approach the central coast then move south tomorrow bringing temperatures to slightly below normal and a deepening of the marine layer along the coast.
Looking now over to the southwest where it will remain hot in the 107-109 ranges in the Tucson area. High pressure will inhibit the thunderbumpers moving up Sonora from moving into the region. There is a slight chance of some thunderbumper activity in the higher elevations today but in general the state will be hot and dry.
Next week the high will weaken and the southwest can expect to see an “UP” week. Probably a significantly up week compared to tropical thunderbumper seasonal rainfall. They could see some gully-washers. We’ll see?
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea will have moderate southerlies for the 3-day forecast period.
The central Sea moderate southerlies today and tomorrow and then Sunday the southerlies should be strong in the 20+ knot ranges
The southern Sea will continue to have light to moderate SW winds for the 3-day forecast period.
Temperatures about the same as yesterday and be in the mid to high 90s.
