Heat Index 11+ for the Fourth Straight Day
A UV Index reading of 11 or higher means extreme risk of harm from
unprotected sun exposure. Try to avoid sun exposure during midday hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 liberally every 2 hours. Take all precautions. Unprotected skin can burn in minutes. Beachgoers should know that white sand and other bright surfaces reflect UV and will increase UV exposure.
It is possible to go outside when the UV Index is 11 or higher. Make sure you always seek shade, wear a hat, cover up, wear 99-100% UV-blocking sunglasses, and use sunscreen. Or you can opt to stay indoors and take the opportunity to relax with a good book rather than risk dangerous levels of sun exposure.
Iʼve enjoyed being your hostess during this flight

YЄS - ter Day
It was just slightly cooler
But now tonight it should stay much warmer due to the observation by the NWS that "an extensive cirrus canopy continues to spread northwest across East Texas/west-central LA from the southeast Texas convection".
Kinda like an umbrella this cirrus canopy that may move up here and make it partly cirrussy cloudy, and to repeat: warmer overnite. I did notice that convection out in the Gulf near Houston last night (it kept me awake until much later worrying someone here might actually care that this up-to-the-minute forecasting blog neglected to warn) and wondered if it might affect us up here-- in every day's a firecracker day with all the crackers drivin trucks 24/7-- but there was no Official comment last night about this storm on the water until tonight. I guess when they get the chance, down Shreveport way they look around to find something to say!∩ open the windows after 10pm ∩

Orange is a soothing color, orange roses are less common and smell very nice! Torri was an orange rose too.

The thought of God interests me too. I have my own definition which does not image a bearded male who wrote a book and sees and worries about every move I make including trying to imagine what I think God is this morning.
If I recall correctly from my few church experiences and what my semi regular Jehovah Witness
visitors read to me I should have been struck down by a bolt of lightning many years ago for trying to make any sense at all on my own.
I still behave like an ignoramus more often than I wish.
I just came back to see what my blog looked like and am pleased you noticed the excerpt from The Revealing Science of God performed by the British Band Yes, from their album "Tales from Topographic Oceans". It is a 22 minute length song and at one time I had put the entire lyrics here one stanza at a time which took over a week. I doubt anyone noticed expectantly. Besides "what happened to the song we knew so well"(a chorus from Revealing) the balancing of a male deity with a loving Mother Nature Goddess, which is my belief, I enjoy knowing She didn't write the Book, she is the Book.

I remember the band Yes and very likely heard some of their songs. In '74 I was running a small construction crew and getting to know my first daughter, #2 was on her way so there was not much spare time to listen to long expeditions in thought or music.
Coincidentally as I was mentioning yesterday my Jehovah Witness friend showed up at the door shortly after I uploaded that comment. He brought his grand daughter, cute as a button and maybe 4 years, to hand me a small pamphlet and then got serious: He gave me the larger printouts and pointed out this section:
"Just Another Book?
Some people hesitate to make such an unqualified statement about the Bible. What about you? Which of the following best describes how you view the Bible?
. A work of fine literature
. One of several equally acceptable sacred texts
. A book of legends with underlying moral lessons
. The Word of God"
I was somewhat flabbergasted since I had just mentioned him here and his chosen topic related to what I was thinking about so I read the first option and agreed. He then pointed out a section in his Bible which clearly states that the Bible is the Word of the Lord.
Is that not somewhat "Self Fullfilling"?
Now I'm leaning toward options 2 and 3 to be polite.
If you are questioning in this realm now your questioning will probably be very long term. If you find any useful answers I need to know.
You young people are my hope - the elders like me are also watching.
buenas suerte
I read through the lyrics and approved the content. I' m out of gas tonight - too much ripping off roofing and bagging somewhat toxic waste today. Thanks for making the print more visible. Red or pink washed in blue I simply can not see.
They are, as you said, and more.
To me, simple, and beautiful, and moving.
I might add one final word, if I may...
...amour.
armure amour aussi
which means 'armor love also'. it's just words and how they sound. Glad you like Enigma now. We don't need to decrypt the German Code.
