My sister arrived safely yesterday after giving me a scare. I knew she had left the Hat at 11pm on Tuesday and its a 12 hour drive. By 3 I was starting to get worried but then though she probably stopped for a sleep. I was right. That woman sure is a brave lady starting a 700 mile trek across the prairies near midnight by herself.
I wonder what's happened to the WU connection with Canada . The radar has been offline for a while and the weather from Environment Canada has quit. This morning I noticed that the web cam from my basement window doesn't appear though it's working fine on my end. When I try to upload the view I get an error that a connection could not be made. I shows that I'm 1 of 0 uploading on the picture.

Enjoy your sister's visit - how long is she going to be there? Nice to have a visitor - my aunt and cousins keep threatening, but the truth is my aunt has gotten too old for much traveling now. I need to head up her way!
Maybe it summer solstice tomorrow that has it all messed up. Sure was a hot one yesterday and more of the same today and tomorrow then a cooling trend. I hate to see what my hydro bill will be but am thankful for the AC.
Have a great day dear one.
Wow, your siter's quite the hearty breed of gal to be traveling 700 miles, in 12 hrs, for a visit and funeral! I would think one would make allowances for a few needed naps and meals along the way. Hope she gets to spend, at least, a week with you before her long trek home again.
You're not alone with these periodic tech problems and frustrations with WU support. I've had to revert to the Classic WU format months ago, as the more modern one is full of glitches. I'm just happy I can still get in here, post in my blogheader and to WU friends while I'm able.
I'm not sure whether your temps in La Prairie are hot or not, but we're encountering quite the heat wave and a heat advisory as of noon today. Our highs for the day could reach near 98F with the indices reaching 103F. Talk about a shock to the ole system. Thankfully, a cold front will be moving through from Canada, of course, late Friday. It should bring needed relief but also severe t'storms to boot. Hubby and I plan on relaxing indoors next to our running air-conditioner until it's safe to go outdoors again.
Take care and, under the circumstances, enjoy your time spent with your sister.
