Two weather features maintain active weather for Europe on Monday. A broad low pressure system spinning over central Europe continues dissipating on Monday as the system slowly advances northeastward and into northeastern Europe. This system will create widespread showers and thunderstorms from Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic early in the day, which will diminish and move into Poland and Lithuania by Monday night. Munich will be overcast with decreasing showers with highs near 60(F)/ 16(C). At the same time, another low pressure system spinning northwest of the British Isles continues approaching the region and pushes a strong cold front across the United Kingdom throughout the day. By Monday night, this system will create a trough of low pressure that extends into the Bay of Biscay, bringing scattered showers to western France and northern Spain. London will be overcast with a chance of rain in the afternoon and evening with highs in the lower 60s(F)/ mid-teens(C), while Dublin will be cloudy, rainy and breezy with highs in the upper 50s(F)/ mid-teens(C). Barcelona and Paris will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and highs near 70(F)/ 21(C).

To the south of this activity expect dry and mild conditions across southern Europe as higher pressure builds into the Mediterranean Sea. Thus, Rome will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid-60s(F)/ upper teens(C) and Athens will be sunny and warm with highs in the lower 80s(F)/ upper 20s(C).
